This page tells you how to start with us. It uses short sentences and simple words. This is called Easy Read.

What do we do?

We are Skilled Care Options Australia.

We help people with disability.

We are a registered NDIS provider.

The NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It helps pay for disability support.

We give you support in a way that suits you. We listen to what you want.

What can we help you with?

We help with many kinds of support.

Here are the supports we have. You can pick the ones you want.

Are you not sure what you need? That is okay. You can ask us, and we will help you work it out.

Who can use us?

You can use us if you have an NDIS plan. An NDIS plan is a list of the supports the NDIS will pay for.

  • You have an NDIS plan.
  • You live in Victoria.
  • You are not sure, and you want to ask us a question.

You do not have to do this on your own. A family member, a friend, or a support coordinator can talk to us for you.

A support coordinator is a person who helps you use your NDIS plan.

Someone can also ask us for you. A support coordinator, a family member or a friend can fill in our referral form. It tells us about you and how we can help.

How do you start?

    Tell us a little about you. Tell us what support you want. You do not have to know everything.

  3. We talk with you

    We will talk with you. We will answer your questions. We will explain how we can help.

  4. We plan together

    We will plan your support with you. If we are the right fit for you, we will agree on the next steps.

Do you need help to read this?

Some words on this page can be hard.

You do not have to read this on your own. You can ask a family member, a friend, or a support coordinator to help you.

Do you need an interpreter?

You do not have to speak English to work with us.

An interpreter is a person who helps you talk in your own language.

You can call TIS National to get an interpreter. TIS National is free for you to use.
