Community participation
Get out, connect and try the things you’ve been meaning to. Whether it’s a regular outing, a new class or simply more time among people, we’ll support you to be part of community life — your way.
The supports under this service
We tailor the mix to you, but here’s what this service typically covers. Each maps to an NDIS support category your plan may fund.
Social & recreational outings
Days out, coffee catch-ups, events and local activities — companionship and support to enjoy the places and people you love.
Groups & classes
Find and join community groups, sports, art, music or interest classes that suit you — and the support to take part.
Hobbies & interests
Pursue the things that matter to you, from gardening to gaming, with practical help to keep them part of your week.
1:1 or small-group support
Choose one-to-one time or the buzz of a small group — whichever helps you build confidence and lasting connections.
Where this sits in your NDIS plan
Community participation is generally funded under Core Supports — Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation, often alongside Capacity Building — Increased Social and Community Participation when the goal is building skills and confidence to take part more independently over time.
Not sure what your plan covers? That’s completely normal — we’ll help you read it during your first chat, with no obligation. This support works whether your plan is self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed.
